snow here on Monday night according to Countryfile, but the detail was not that great, and has hand was over Wales for much of the time.

WINTER STORM was forecast though.

Currently snowing again here , but very light.

It looked good, how is their hand always covering south wales, very annoying, if we dont get snow, there will be some heavy rain, and if the snow is still on the ground there could be flooding problems

I have a distinct feeling that in this borlerline situation they are covering their collective backs - ie better to forecast snow that doesn't materialise rather than forecasting rain and a blizzard then giving a huge dump.

I hope they are right, but I fear that they are going to be wrong.

Again.

I've never heard of a winter storm in the UK lol.

this could be quite dangerous.

remember the storm in which Gordon Kaye, of Allo Allo fame was nearly killed by a branch?(edit-actually it was a plank from an advertising board)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/s...000/3420797.stm

you won't Jay, I know, but quite a few on here will.

Drifting Snow & Heavy Snow 1800 Mon 9 2359 Mon 9

Rain turning to snow in many places will give accumulations of 5 to 10cm generally and 15 to 20cm over hills. Some drifting is possible in the strong easterly winds.

Issued at: 1150 Sun 8 Feb

Other parts of South Wales including Swansea, Pembrokeshire, and Vale of Glamorgan in the lower risk category.

Personally I think this could effect all of South Wales, certainly Countryfile suggested this.

Still snowing lightly outside, however no real strong echoes now on the radar to the west, perhaps it is stating to dry up.

Looking good for my area

Slight wet snow here all morning with the odd burst of rain aswell. Seems to be dying down but as its doing so the temps must be dropping as it is more snowy.

For Saturday, there was no warning at all of any snow.

How's the snow holding up there, here it is only edging away.

Still a good 2inches covering in my garden, and the higher routes and fields looking towards tycoch, some snow still there, a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow falling now

Same here snow is edging away slowly but very slowly not much has gone today compared to yesterday and once this weak band pushes over temps will drop like a stine, They're dropping now.
