It was chaos in our local Morrisons this morning, loads of people stocking up. Anyone would think there was some bad weather coming :) The staff had never seen it so busy on a Monday morning!

I did reply to your question earlier-

12z ( t9) sees the wrap around air Moving SW-

I would hazard a guess snow reports coming after 6pm-

more like between 8-12 for you Matt-

Today is the 8th consecutive day with snow cover. It really is strange to look out at very heavy rain falling with the ground still white with snow  .

Tell me about it.

At least the road out of the village is now clear!

This is the first day in 8 days with no snowfall (as yet) ... end of an era  haha

Anyone know if its snowing up in the Cotswolds?

The hills have a odd blurry mist to them.

Obviously Mullender your reports are quite key to the goings on in the SW- Your elevation will be the first, as will the higher elevation in wales-

I reakon you will be reporting in some snow flakes around 5-6 pm ish-

Great, now the BBC and GFS have the precip moving away more rapidly from my area. Looks as soon as it turns to snow it goes away and goes dry! Typical.

V.Heavy rain here, now, in north BTL.

Latest BBC News 24 forecast a minute or so ago now predicting arrival of snow past 8.00pm for BTL area; slighty later than was forecast a couple of hours ago.

As others have just reported on this thread, seems like it's not going to hang around too long either. Earlier forecasts seemed to indicate a good 6 hours of the white stuff!

Well its looking as cold as it was before- transition time a little later on-?- the SE has a window of midnight till 6am, so I guess maybe 10-4am-

Obviously these are estimates-

Keep an eye on thye PPN though, its still not going as for North as some would like, remember there will be an inflection point- where it starts pulling SE-
