Yeah, I'd say that's it for the day now. Turns out that most of the thundery activity came from the occluded front due to embedded showers/storms in it. I was more focused on what would come after the main front, which from the looks of things now, isn't much.

Oh well wasnt really expecting much here anyway. :(

VERY heavy rain here now.

Its also very slow moving, so if its still growing i wouldnt be suprised if theres some thunder soon.

In that line of showers there is a broken gap in the middle, i can just see that affecting here should they try to get here. Lol.

Rain looks like re-organising on the South coast - very milky sky which often would make you think something on the way.

Dark skies to the N & W, blue skies with puffy Cu to the S and E, with the milky stuff behind.

Lol, we had a shield over us this morning so unless it has a sunday afternoon nap its business as usual!

Showers look to be weakening now too.

:( I love it when people talk about storm shields!

:( , its as if the clent and lickey hills have suddenly elevated by 1000m or so, and completely blocked out the hope of any showers for the two boroughs. its always the same story, the vigorous showers rapidly lose their strength when they meet the west midlands. :(

Quite a noticeable convergence zone which have drawn on a recent wind map running from SW England up to East Anglia as per convective fcst earlier:

Lightning seems to have eased with no new sferics recently on Atd. Though this doesn't mean there's no thunder as I imagine it only detects CGs anyway.

My neighbour has informed me this afternoon that there was a thunderstorm here at 5am this morning, must have slept through it :(

It's very dark here with a strong breeze starting and rain on and off. Has the feel of a storm but not the look, it's just black from west to east over the coast and Channel.

Was wondering where you were Coast - like the sound of a W to E black sky :(

HUGE Cu building to my W - why the hell is it all missing us in Kesurex??

:( Been out and about walking the dog and observing the front over the Channel from Pevensey. Couldn't get a WiFi connection down there to check in!

What's the radar and detector situation for the SE?

Looks like no chance of thunder today here in the Midlands, maybe something down on the South coast but doesen't look particularly exciting.
