The showers NE of Oxford have tracked NNW from east Reading during the past hour or so, and if continue this course will end up east of Brum around Coventry in a couple of hours time.

Can see the shower to my SW with the circular well defined core, can confirm it's a large developing CuNibus, large well developed saucer shaped anvil strecthing out accross the whole dark cloud base. Only a matter of time i think till it lets fly with the electrics. <_<

Some sort of rotation occurring S/E Sheffield and into N Derbyshire. Have been watching scud being whipped about in all directions. Could be an interesting afternoon. <_<

Showers seem to be moving in more of a Westerly direction now.

satellite loop on sat 24 looks promising with things starting to get organised to the south of the midlands.

It looks like the south east has lost the first chance with all those developing cumulus/cumulonimbus.

Hopefully this 50 mile area of clear sky will allow for sufficient heating for the band from France to re-intensify over our shores.

blizzards, i wouldnt get your hopes up, as they could lose much of their intensity, but its one to watch certainly.

Im definately not getting my hopes up but there is a chance. <_<

As usual - SE remains by and large dry - the major exception, for here at least, was the thundery rain this morning. But that didnt take long in evaporating when the sun came out just before 9am.

I can see the cell which is to west of London on the metoffice radar and it looks exceptionally huge - I can see this one turning electrical further north IF there is enough insolation to feed off.

The SE has been very unlucky lately!

There doesn't look to be anything over Nailsea, if anything they are under blue skies at the moment though I do notice a large angry looking cloud down towards you. Unfortunately I don't think there are many other showers heading this way at the moment.

Been watching that too PP and trying to film it , rolling in from ENE then SE with some lower scud moving in totally opposite direction to others amazing sight.

Yeah just had another heavy shower, that cell I mentioned, looks like it's loosing intensity.

Sun out again now. Hoping for more showers, yet to get any electrical activity.

Nice Cb now visible on this Coventry webcam to their SE at about 25 miles away:

Showers approaching Coventry area

EDIT: Only weak atm on radar though, and the low clouds on the webcam crossing in a more E to W direction than from SE.
