Evening all,

Hot off the press, these shots taken within the last hour, looking towards Bristol Airport from a country lane near Yatton, storm fizzled out but I can still see stuff over the channel, Newport area.

Now there are warnings out for SW England and Southern Wales - evidently the MetOffice are expecting them to miss Gloucestershire as usual. I hope this won't be the case but I'm not going to be too hopeful.

Had a Phone call from John H (Christidontknow) and he and 3 others from and Irish Weather Forum are Intercepting the Ex-Welsh storms up the coast from Cork, so could get even more Lightning Shots from them tomorrow

Really nice line going up and its still developing over France - anyone under that maybe under it for a while...would love something like this as we've had not much so far, but I guess tommorow may bring the goods. Nice photos.

A couple of miles out to sea if that, getting closer by the minute...

ISO 100 OR 200 - Thats what we were using on our USA Lightning Pics this year and it pretty much nailed it

Thank you, Mostly sheet lightning, but it amazing...

Hopefully will get my ulimate lightning shot, even with a broken leg... :good:

Use ISO100 and largest possible apeture, focused on infinity(and beyond) that way you should get less pixel noise.

lightning coming thick and fast now, thunder getting louder....

Longer exposure then probably. Try 20-30 seconds B)
