Something is very close here, thunder quite regular now but nothing else.

Just had a flash and a crack of thunder here, rain starting now too.

EDIT: That shower exploded right over me, absolute torrential rain for a while. A crack of thunder and lightning too, so second storm of the day in terms of thunder, third torrential shower.

A bit of video from the earlier shower around dinnertime. One has a bit of lightning but it's mainly about the angry clouds :D

Not bad video for a mobile. Click on each to open

Looks like we have more storms building in the distance - not sure what why they are heading atm. Hopefully this way!

This is what is on the way for London/Kent within the next half hour, hour. Hopefully, it could be fun :D

Also, gone dark now already - think something may be building ahead of the stuff coming out the midlands.

Well, theres definatly something brewing, I've got the same headache back that I had earlier, the cat is still under the bed (even though its been quiet here for a good hour or so) and well - I can see the clouds with my own eyes :D

Hopefully you'll make it home in time :D

Look like some heavy precip towards and around Manchester. Not sure if there is any TL though. Anyone up there able to report?

Gone dark to my west up Derby way! Can you see any black clouds?

There is, there is a new cell developing right over head! Not electric yet, but judging by how quickly it has built and intensified in the last 15 mins, it is surely going to!

Raining now, albeit lightly....probably just going to scrape southwards.

HAHA! It has turned thundery :D

Bring it on!!! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

That must be what I can see building in the distance - I am litterally on the edge of it right now. Seems to be drifting in this direction too. Excellent news its turned thundery!

Another crackle right overhead - not very powerful, but do I care...nope! :yahoo:

It seems to be going the same way as the one before snow raven - you should be in with some luck! Another crackly rumble - seems to be very IC/CC atm, just waiting for the first CG, hehehe!

Parents report Thunder and Torrential rain in the Peak District at 3pm as 2 showers merged into the Goyt Valley. Walking home from Manchester at 4.30pm I encountered another shower which brought more torrential rain and lightning to the area.

Unfortunately I left Manchester Piccadilly just before the cell hit the City so I cant confirm wether central Manchester recieved any Sferics, but so far in the space of 25 mins being home Ive seen 5 lightning strikes now.

A heavy shower, with no thunder, as usual. :yahoo:

What a wasted opportunity. Big storm in Buxton, Derbyshire says my family back there. Lucky them.
