Still developing this cell - thunder getting louder and more frequent, rain getting heavier too! Still pretty much overhead (last crack just made my jump...this is great fun!)!

This isn't even the main cause for excitement, look at the line of cells behind it! :yahoo:

Thunder claps are right overhead now, making me jump like hell, lol! Rain now increasingly torrential!! Seen lightning now too, hoorah!

Angry storm rumbling in from the NW, storm with beautiful structure to the SW.

Had a few weak storms earlier on, one with some very nice cloud structure and a small IC flash, then it drenched me as I waited for the bus. :yahoo:

Extremely deep booming thunder, shotgun booms getting nearer.

After the torrent of rainfall here, the shower has moved over London and from what I can hear, literally, it seems to have become a lot more electrical.

We've had 30mm of rain so far today, from three 20 mins showers.

Wow what rain! Also bright lightning, not far away.

Hastings have been swamped this morning, all emergency services stretched quite badly by all accounts!

Awesome storm going here! Massive lightning strikes and LOUD thunder. Torrential rain! Anyone east of here is in for a damn good show!

I'll try to get some p[ictures.

Going off line now, since this storm is getting really bad.

NW london, there was just a very unusual cloud line passing through here. It was the leading edge of what is currently a quite active T-Storm. I've not seen such cloud movement in a long while, really crazy, moving all sorts of directions.

Those in the core of the city, keep ya eyes on the skies to your North. Its really turbulent up there this afternoon!

Just a quick question - why are people shutting their computers off during the storms? Is it in case of a power cut which shuts it down incorrectly?
