I think for quite a few of us, its now eyes t'up North. Quite a band of showers now organising in the n/e.

yea! that band looks good! that could give the east midlands a nice covering! im too far west for that to get here!

Had some light rain/sleet and then snow here lasting a couple of minute.

1.9c now west wind has picked up -5c upper air.

That last easterly it snowed here at -1c upper, east wind is without doubt the best . :(

A few flakes of snow now,and now very light rain.

Just driven 80 miles from North Lincolnshire through Nottinghamshire to Leicestershire. For three-quarters of the way it was rain and sleet with the odd short burst of wet snow. Nothing really amounting to much and very little settling due to the temperature (admittedly from a car thermometer) of around 2 degrees.

So basically a continuation of the marginal weather we've had since just before Christmas. Looks like this is going to be a winter that promises much but just fails to deliver.

Looking out the window over Northamptonshire towards Middleton Cheney the sky looks amazing and there is a rainbow, so I think rain and snow over there.
