Radar starting to look a bit more interesting. Might see some flurries creeping into Northants in the next hour or so providing they don't peter out.

Hmm it doesen't look much at all, 15 minute snow shower and it's over job by the looks of it.

The BBC weather site graphics are useless, you may as well ask your cat.

9/10 cats said their owners preferred it.

the midlands, need everything more north, or will affect only the SE, the SE folks have the right to be excited eg TEITS and steve murr, they will see record snowfalls next week, just wish I was around there

Well against my will i took a look at the latest radar.rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

Today's weather had the Streamer coming through the Cheshire Gap, with all of the snow, sleet rain showers affecting to my NNE, the latest radar shows that the heaviest of the showers will now run to the north of me.

Talk about a no win situationrofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

Edit: The only pecip today i had over me was heavy ,yet it produced nothing rofl.gif to which Ian Fergusson told my why this happend.

You really do need time away from the general weather chat.

you are going to make yourself ill with worry.

as for record snowfall for the SE.??

The 18z GFS is stunning, absolutely stunning. A sustained, unstable easterly for the whole week, we would have given anything to get these in winters gone by.

Any snow in that light east breeze?

Otherwise a waste of time. :whistling:

Looks like that 2nd trough is now coming in SW as the colder east winds come in,light snow here and the fog has come back a change in wind direction that means, got a slight extra dusting 0.3c

Could you please tell me whats being said in the model thread nick.

I'm guessing IF this comes off that the south east will get streamer after streamer.

But the posters in that thread dont say anything about the server snow our region could get.

Is it snowing there yet dude? The radar suggests it is pretty much on your doorstep heading towards me but it looks like a weak band :( Oh well, better than nothing, a dusting would be nice. Roads must be absolutely LETHAL out there tonight, it chucked it down with rain and sleet earlier for around 40 minutes when I was at the Leicester match and everywhere was soaked. All of that water now turned to ice + a dusting on top of the ice = very dangerous.

I feel like James Bond after reading the Model thread with all that ramping. (reminds me of ski jumping)

Words like worst storm ever for SE and Central England between 7th - 12th January.

Haven't we heard all this before and nothing ever happened in years gone by.
