Nothing falling here yet although we did get another dusting overnight. I could do with it holding off for another half hour so that I can get the car down the hill to the garage without shovelling.

Been snowing since 7am, kids just set off for school, expecting a phonecall.

Got around 2cm so far coming down steady. <_<

Morning everyone, Been snowing here, on and off, since around 5.30 - nothing substantial here, but some places to the west

of me have been badly affected.

Taking a look out of the window, I'd estimate that there's been around 2cms of fresh snow - so far <_<

Still nice and heavy here in NE Leeds close to city centre - for a time i thought we were fizzling out but it has been really intensifying for the past half an hour - hopefully those to the south of us will get a good dumping too.

Its going to get very server south of our region.

Nice one :) It seems to be pepping up a little now. My local forecast suggests that this snow will die out this-morning, but then more snow showers will return later this afternoon

Heavy snow now, I think the issue is not really the amount just that it is at the wrong time, about 10-15cm of snow here.

I am in South Doncaster, it has been snowing for an hour and things are really hotting up now. Cars are sliding everywhere and the snow is the thickest I have seen in a long time. We had no lying snow at all yesterday and these pictures were taken about 20 minutes ago. I will take some more pictures as things progress.

Same here. Problem seems to be the roads are getting grid locked early so the bus companies cancelled, which has forced all the schools to close.

Snow status - weare only a couple of inches off one of the markers I used for the pre Christmas snow. Which means its got to be at or about 15 cm's at a minimum now - and its STILL heavy snowing. Wish I had a water proof camera as would make great photos.

Well, woke up to an unexpected deluge this morning - forecast said the worst would miss Harrogate but the 12cm outside begs to differ!!!

Moved up from Gloucestershire last month and snow not been off the ground since - although I believe they will be buried tonight cold.gif .

Great to see a proper winter for a change but I get the feeling this will wear a little thin with everybody if this keeps up - remember the worst last year didn't come until February, when Gloucs ran out of grit and we were snowed in for 5 days!

While I know weather isn't climate it would help matters of the warm doomsayers would shut the F up for 10 minutes while we dig ouselves out doh.gif
