Should be impossible to miss it but Embra in a radar island of clear stuff, yet surrounded by activity ... and snow reports from west, north-west, north, north-east, east and south-east of here.

Surely we can't dodge the snow bullets !!!

Met Office radar looks promising for Edinburgh tonight. No red warnings of course, even though if there is a dump here then it will be as much chaos as anywhere else in the UK! But gold stars to gritters in the Highlands - I was all over from the N Isles to the NW to Tayside over Christmas and only got stuck once, that with summer-type tyres on a small car! The scenery in the northern Highlands is awesome at the moment too

Those are brilliant pics of the Tay - it looks properly Arctic .

BTW, good to have somewhere to post where we know that it's been cold and snowy for a solid 3 weeks!

It is a proper surprise but only if you watch the bloody biased c***s(BBC) forecast which has shown nothing for here for two days. I'm not watching it again
