Hi folks,

  Just joined after days of watching your discussions and seemingly intimidating knowledge of all things weather related :s 

Its been hugely disappointing here for snowfall after being so excited at the prospect of tonnes of the stuff! Forecast seems to be we should get some tonight though fingers crossed!

Temp 1.8 DP's +0.7, whilst the temps are steady the DP's are rising, just popped to the shop and it's a heavy mix of rain & sleet.

Surprisingly, is settling here from the small flakes, even on the roads that have been gritted quite a few times in the last few days.

its turning more to snow here! so thats good news lol, need more elevation for this to settle though!

Encouragingly the snow has upped intensity here, and despite the wet roads, has settled easily. So now the road is re-covered with a dusting! Snowing moderately still. :lol:

It keeps easing off all the time and then it's back to sleet.

yeah, elevation could make a bit of a difference in this situation both with intensity and temps.. although the humidy is rising, the temperature seems to be dropping to dorpping at a similar rate and the net results is a steady dp at the moment!

Settling again dew point dropped slightly but air temp not budging. Looks like it will get heavier again as the lights are disappearing from view to the east of us. Going to be funny u=if they reduce the warning and then we get the orginal dumping.

Yeah there's too much light/moderate PPN on the radar, and we need the heavy PPN to get snow :D
