Sorry I haven't got a gauge but i don't think it rained heavy here. Wind is up a bit but nothing drastic, overcast. Prefer a good storm if not sunshine to enjoy too.

I made mine :shok: do abit of maths on a cup and you can make it work :p

So apart from Nuneaton, just rain everywhere then? :shok:

Last night we had around a total of 28mm here in Leicester, it's raining again now, looks like the thunder and lightning is going about 20 miles South of here though :shok: Bugger!

Seems the Northern end has registered a few sferics, more than just Nuneaton. I just intercepted the line near Fairford where from the radar it looked pretty intense, brief heavy rain (medium droplets) and gusty winds were all I got here, no thunder :shok:

Just had a torrential downpour here in Swindon. Was raining sideways for a few moments too biggrin.gif

No thunder or lightning though.

Still, I'm going to have to empty my fish pond now as the water level from yesterday has risen over 3/4 inches and it's nearly overflowing!

Well it was only one very distinct rumble I heard, and looking at the radar I guess it was some way away. Band moved through pretty quick too, so nothing too special.

Looks as if Rain's about to set in here very soon. Whether it's thundery or not is another matter.

Looks like it is raining cats and dogs around the Oxford-Northampton area!

Plenty of cells popping up in the West and SW now behind this band.

Sun is out here now, Nice blue skies.

OK, can we try and steer the conversation back onto convective storms if possible please (htunder, lightning, hail, tornadoes etc).

Reports of 'rain' or 'no rain' are probably more at home here: forum.netweather.tv/general-weather-chat

or even here: forum.netweather.tv/we-need-the-rain

Ta! :shok:

Absolutely heaved it down at V Fest last night around 1am, looks like one pretty intense storm Wednesday.

There's a lot of convection here, so much so I just spotted a huge white cumulous with what looked like a 'tophat' of whispy cirrus, I can't say I've seen that before, sadly I've left my camera at home :cray:

Sounds like a pileus cloud, one of my favs :D

Electrical activity has increased as the line travells East and is now quite active. Also it looks like the southern end of the line has extended and now some potent showers have cropped up in southern counties, exciting times for the Kesurex area!

Looks like the likelihood of us Westerners seeing anything more today has all but vanished

Just had some big rumbles of thunder here in west Cambridgeshire. From the radar, looks like we're about to be hit by a deluge
