Ah that will explain it then...so Im guessing the 2 min 30 one will play on the hour from 00:57 ish...and be similar to the 00:27 one. Then the countdown will commence and story of the hour with a similar irony (albeit on a massive scale - Pakistan floods).

Heavy rain began around 25 mins ago, here in S.E.London, some colourful radar returns too. Nice to hear it hammering down outside, such a relief after recent days of high humidity.

Regards,

Tom

Little bit dissapointed for the Bristol region, doubt we're going to even get 20 mm maybe only 15 mm in some areas. Very average really compared to what was expected.

2hrs of very heavy(no break or less intense) just prolonged rains,

i think some sparks are going to show soon, its getting torrential now, it feels like a pressure pot with a tight lid, and its just waiting to blow out!

Looking increasingly likely that people at v festival are going to get very wet.

Rain remains nice and heavy here, sounds great.

Steady rain for the past few hours, now hammering down and has been for the past 20 mins.

Like Tom said I am also glad of it as it's been so humid today and yesturday. I came back from Lincolnshire yesturday and watched the temp rising as I neared London.

Am in Conservatory as Grandson is here and I can't smoke in the House! LOL

So it sounds even louder!

Edit, easing off a little now.

Here it goes again! So glad I live on top of a high hill! Bet the High Road is flooded, it always is as the drains just can't cope.

Heavy prolonged rain here on the Suffolk Cambridgeshire border. Lets hope this keeps up all night, I didn't buy that blow-up boat for no reason! :nonono:

Why can't we get massive heavy bands of precip like this in Winter when it's cold enough for snow?! Bloody typical!

Its been pouring here for a while now though a heavier burst has just moved through, looks like more of a October type system then a August system with the low pressure coming in but tere ya go!

Tommorow looks interesting though with the instablity leftover behind the front.
