Can anyone tell me if Norwich is going to see much wind/rain from this storm?

Thanks

I believe we are gonna get good amounts of rain very soon. Its closing in rather fast and rain is now starting in the NW of the county. The bulk moving in from the SW. The whole system doesnt show any lightning detected so where thunderstorms are concerned. Who knows. :unknw:

Raining a lot here now. It has been very humid for several days, it was like being in Singapore this afternoon at Wakehurst Place amongst the trees - clammy , warm and wet!

Even at this early stage I've got a feeling this will be a rain event and nothing else. No sign of lightning at all as yet.

My dog made sure I didn't, she must have woken the whole street!

Oh dear poor animals that don't like it. My cat doesnt even batter an eyelid at thunderstorms or fireworks. Amazing really.

Thunder and Lightning is a very low risk anyway. People shouldnt really bother looking for T&L tbh tonight.

Thankfully Blizzards, somebody who actually has listened to the forecasts and advice of the others on here.

If you are wanting a big thunderstorm, you might aswell give up now. Its the rainfall thats going to be the most impressive factor for the majority.

First spots of rain here now.

Still muggy with zero wind. Not even a slight breeze

There is no rain in NW Norfolk, in fact it's a good few hours away yet

Make that saturday night, and indeed every other night :drinks:

The rain hasn't even cleared the Scillies yet! Should be a long night of rain!

Hmmm, am I the only one who thinks the radar just looks like a normal low pressure system? Light, Moderate and Heavy bursts of rain, nothing special though.

Don't tease. :unknw: You know we are all really hoping for a tremendous storm to give a kick start to a really stormy autumn which will then miraculously transmogrify into a wickedly cold and snowy winter. Well that's my hopes anyway .

It is actually still raining here RAIN RAIN RAIN and yes, I am spending my Sunday night watching the lampost to see how heavy the rain is. So very sad.

I am actually more interest in a F9 gale that the gale warning is offering but can't really see it coming off.

Sadly the wind has decreased to a F3 gusting F4

Thats strange according to the rain radar there is some covering over that part of Norfolk albeit light. Perhaps its echoing droplets in the clouds?:unknw:
