Looks like the storms will be worst in NW England tomorrow afternoon, the North Sea kills any chances to the east of the Pennines in NE England.

Really? thats a change!

I know that the BBC seem to think that there could be some quite nasty showers north of Birmingham and south of the Scottish borders tomorrow late afternoon into the evening.

Exactly what I'm talking about ...nobody is now casting

For Crying out loud, give it a rest.

I have not seen rain for 25 days, I have not seen a storm this year.

As it stands, it looks unlikely there will be anything in Norfolk AT ALL, but why not wish those that are having storms "Good Luck" rather than just whining that you are not

Number of strikes showing on Blitzen up from 150 to 236 in the last 90 minutes, some people should see some good lightning late, I think Coast may be right, probably as far East as the IOW

Please all,

Don't turn this thread into an arguement. Yes, some of us are overly excited, but as well as looking at the radars etc it's eyes to the skies and such.

Please don't take offence camiscool. :) All we can do is live in hope Lol :winky:

Is it just me or do those cells have more of an easterly vector. Some seem to be heading directly towards me

I live in hope

Without wanting to sound biased, i think here could be possibly in a very good location with a risk tonight and all through the weekend.. Especially looking forward to tonight if it comes off. Storms already in the Channel in the SW.

Good luck to all. Best storm set up for some time. :D

I don't agree- Norfolk may look near-certain to stay dry today, but late Saturday/early Sunday looks like having a lot of heavy rain which may potentially be thundery, particularly as some of it is set to be imported from the near-Continent.

I don't expect to see a proper thunderstorm here in Norwich- maybe spells of rain with the odd rumble here and there at most- but you never know!

Anyone want to meet up on Portsdown Hill near Pompey later to see these storms come in..?

I'll be down there later on tonight if things progress well enough for there to be a good enough show.

Following the track of that rain/storm it's looking good for Wiltshire/Somerset/Hampshire.

Anyone on here from the Channel Islands as they were a direct hit?

Another excellent NMM run. Looks like things could especially become organised over Wales and the Midlands, even if its just rain by then.

  • April 2024 - Was it that cold overall? A look at the statistics
