Its either snowing or raining on this cam in Scandi

http://195.196.36.24...deo.mjpg&size=1

Can't quite work out which. If its snow, its not settling anyway

http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/FI_cc.html

Snowing in Enontekio. Raining in Ivalo and sleety at Kittila. But the big story is snow in Rovaniemi!

The link I posted is actually in Sweden - It does look like snow to me now, its blowing about quite a bit. We should hopefully see a few white pixels on tomorrows chart!

That webcam's at Pajala in Sweden. That's definitely snow! I just think it's too wet to settle at this stage, it's forecast 1°C and snow tonight, but 4°C and rain tomorrow.

The link wouldn't open for me :(

Pajala is often very snowy. It's currently at 0.1c. http://www.smhi.se/en/Weather/Sweden-weather/Observations#

For some reason the usual update isn't 'updating' so I've hawked this update form another site for this morning, tbh it's a better resolution.

hehe! I know what you mean, the way it's all twisted around like that.

I think I'll post both daily and the anomoly map too, now it's getting interesting!

Here's a direct link to that map with even better resolution, and here's the anom'

All green again now. There was a dusting when I checked this morning, it usually takes 1-2 tries before the snow sticks long term.

Thanks as always :D. I actually prefer that map where the world is spread out, much easier to look at! Sitting in the airport waiting on my flight to Sweden...gonna miss my daily fix! :(.

Interesting to see snow in some areas I visited in September, the Alps in Northern Italy, Switzlerand, and even as far South as the Ski Resort in Bulgaria, Bansko (which was seeing temps of 30c) that I was at mid September. Whilst in Germany on my return I had reports from a friend (also from Belfast) met on the Journey that Snowfall had caused him to need towing in parts of Eastern Switzerland mountains, he basically went to bed in rain, woke up and it was snowing.

Morning all, 'tis right! There's alot of new snow today!

I especially like 'the snowy finger of cold winters' that is reaching out to poke Blighty in the ribs :D
