Warmest temperature here in the shade came in at 27.1C re-sited a few times to ensure no error, but it kept reading the same. That said we do have nothing but land to our southeast, and we are sheltered to the south/southeast so we usually do get warm temperature in these setups.

Whatever happened it feels hot, I was sweating from a walk to the supermarket before!

It's one of those days where you walk in the house, and the house feels almost cold compared to outside.

Today's value makes it the third warmest day this year and the warmest day since 27 June, and higher than any temperature in July & August.

BBC going for 27C now.. so it may end up being the second warmest of the year tomorrow..

UK on a par with much of Europe today, only really outclassed by places like Seville at 30 DgC, Bordeaux at 29 DgC and Naples and Rhodes at 27 DgC

Now I never thought I'd be writing that in the last days of September clapping.gif

So another question:

Would all the members here, give up a cold and snowy Winter for a continuation of this until say March next year? unknw.gif

Absolutely NOT! lol I like our seasons as it stops one type of weather becoming too boring, if this continued until March then it would be very boring indeed! Looking foward to the cold and snow now once this is gone! smile.png

I'd give easily up a cold and snowy winter for this kind of weather from next March through to October

I think you should be removed from this forum for making those types of provocative suggestions! :)

Yorkshire is boiling and has been throughout the day - but Gravesend remains on top. It should start falling around the nation now.

Hell yes - without a moments thought! I'd save hundreds in heating costs and be able to enjoy the garden and outdoors in general all year round!

Wouldn't do nature and such much good but hey never mind!
