Fancy a drive to Exmoor then?? Lol!

With the latest model runs, especially the 18z, I wonder if we can squeeze a slight upgrade to that still! Here's hoping!

Upgrade to the point of snow down to around 300m :air_kiss: then i'll be happy although that 3-5 day is just covering themselves.

sleet/snow would be possible under -5 850's above 150/250 m i would have thought though?

Does look interesting night on Sunday, looks like the Irish Sea will develop some decent convection and if that happens away from the coastal strip it'll likely be snow for a brief time before the temps moderate upwards again on Monday.

A nice early cold spell, nothing too potent but its better then SW domination!!

If, and obviously only IF, the GFS verified, then I would of thought the Mendips, Cotswolds and higher parts of Wiltshire would see something too!

Well, it looks as though the GFS model has royally screwed up for minima tonight.

Altnaharra was forecast a minimum of 1C and is currently at -5C making it the coldest temperature since January.

Most of Scotland is now around the freezing mark with Glasgow winning the UK cities at 0C.

There are 3 locations in Ireland at freezing or below with Mullingar at -2C.

Hawarden in Wales is now at 1C.

In England we have Spadeadam, Boulmer and RAF Leeming at 0C with Topcliffe at -1C so it looks like the Vale Of York is quite cold tonight.

Leeds-Bradford is currently at 2C.

BBC five day paints a pretty dull picture for this area...

Well here it keeps rising. Up to 4.8C now thanks to a slight increase in wind!!! :(

BBC forecast low of 3.c for Runcorn so perhaps the temperature is expected.

100% raw computer generated = crap.

They derive from models which you yourself view and take into account when deciding whether it will snow or not.

Not those ones, they're just purely raw data, no human input, they change each model run.

Frosty here BT after earlier shower. Westerly wind is no problem here as we are far enough south in Cheshire to get shelter from that wind direction. Annoying in winter though when the wind doesn't quite back NW enough to push the showers this far south.

Quite frosty here too at 5.0C after the rain, cars frozen over (the darker, newer ones)

but the wind is killing the temperature atm... :(

Some interesting developments here. Temperature close to freezing and some interesting showery activity heading into western scotland. I'm hoping for some snow!

Not expecting much, but it will be good to have some below average temperatures, it'll certainly feel seasonal.

Plenty of places now at freezing or below with even Birmingham and Manchester at 1C.

Benson is now at 0C.

I am annoyingly at 1C.
