Does she not like snow then? :o

7.5C here, far too warm for snow. Snowing over Scotland with uppers of -4C, can only be a good sign for us.

o yes it keeps me in

and it does not go well with her shoes.

Been fairly pleasant today...although the wind has put a bit of a chill on it.

Coat but not hat weather I'd describe it as...fairly average.

As for the next couple of days, I expect to see nothing here of course...indeed anywhere south of the Peak District won't see anything wintry I think. At the very best it could be on a par with the last week of October 2008..and that's pushing it. Really pushing it.

However, next weekend may be more interesting. As far as lying snow goes...not much chance again in this part of the World. But I think we will see some wintry weather in terms of frost and fog...and there may be something a bit wintry in any showers. Time will tell.

However, the real interest for me now is what happens in various parts of the country between now and Tuesday. I look forward to see who does see snow...particuarly if any can fall at lower levels in northern England. Always enjoy following other people's weather events when you can't have one of your own!

Had a rain shower about 5 mins ago but with wintry showers being reported tonight across Scotland, it has boost my confidence even more than perhaps inland parts of Northern Ireland/Ireland could well see some snow showers as the colder air is still yet to arrive.

I'll bet that during this cold snap/spell, Glasgow & Belfast will see some snow being reported. I would include Edinburgh but with winds set to veer more of a NW'ly then maybe the highlands will block any shower activity on Monday in particular. As ever radar watching is the key as all these models/forecasts can say this that and the other but at the end of the day its down to radar watching and see what happens.

There's even a snowflake in Wolverhampton's BBC online forecast for very early Monday morning.

And a snowflake will be about as good as it gets in reality!

Seriously though..good to see the wintry stuff getting going in Scotland...always good to see winter closing in. If Scotland can get going...then maybe the rest of us can further down the line!

With -4c/-5c uppers it's turning into a rather nice snow event for parts of Scotland, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday look even colder for the most part so W Yorkshire will be experiencing similar conditions to parts of the central belt by Monday night.

Very heavy rain again just a few mins ago, surprised in how many showers have reached east of the pennines since sunset.
