some are saying it is tracking further north ?

It appears so, i think we can push the MetO's snow warning more north, just the general area they outlined, some southern parts will still see some of the white stuff as this system pulls down colder air from the north, if we look at the wider infrared sat, this cloud bank is quite large most of it is still out in the Atlantic, so lots more of the cloud to come in yet while the temps are dropping away,

Looking at the Radar this system has pushed as far north as Sheffield, i don't think it was meant to track that far north initially,

Goodnight, I'm off to bed now too - hopefully we will all see something white falling from the sky in the morning even if it's sleet or wet snow !

Good morning to anyone who is on here!

I HAVE SNOW FALLING

Despite ok-ish dewpoints, still only rain and sleet here. Radar isn't looking good at all either (i.e could do with more heavy precipitation for evaporative cooling)

the front is moving too fast if this were in scotland it would magically grind to a halt and give a good dumping,

Morning Ben its snowing now in Huntingdon

Thanks for the heads up! The raintoday radar suggests the band has intensified and widened, but is still continuing on its SE'wards track.

We've had the switch over to snow here not too long ago, it's settling on roofs, cars etc...

Where abouts are you? Heavy rain here in Wisbech on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border, being at 0 Amsl it's what I expected!

some school closures in and around Luton, just been talking to my sister who lives there. Looking at web cams not enough snow to warrant that but then it is the last school day before christmas
