Looking at the radar, does anyone else think this is beginning to stall??

Theres a piece of heavier precip over East Wales/West Shropshire and it hasnt moved much further east for a good half hour.

AJ, Phil n Warks? Any suggestions?

It's slowly closing in mate....snowfall rate here has really picked up in the past few minutes, and it's still full snow

Still very light here and on the radar, seems to becoming lighter before it gets here. Hope it's not going to be one of those instances where it all falls on Cannock Chase and then beefs up again once it's gone past us.

be around another 20/30mins id av thought took roughly 10mins to get from nuneaton, seems to be slowing up somewhat at the min, isnt really a bad thing though, we need the cold front to catch up first

The gap between the two fronts is definitly getting closer folks.

Well now the snow is setting in i thought i would post some images off the 06Z NAE run to show that for much of the region this should be a decent snow event.

The above images are for tonight midnight and 06Z Sunday.

We can see that the whole region is promised some snowcover and the dewpoints look good for most,although counties near the Welsh border may see the dews and 2m temps somewhat higher later on.

We should have the 12z run soon and we can compare if things are still on course,although by tonight i would think Radar and the good old Lampost watch will play the bigger roles.

Snowing steadily for the past hour or so in Malvern. The wind is really whipping it up so it's not lying uniformly. It's -2.0^oC currently. Going out in around half an hour to take some snapshots on the Hill.

temp in Derby starting to rise. Temp has been a constant - 0.6 since noon but just had a sharp increase - dew points still -8 (although rose inline with temp). I guess this rise is suppose to happen ??

yup did that here started again about 5mins later, still just very light though, looks like it will be for an hour or 2 yet
