I am calm, I was only saying. Perhaps the tone may have come across wrong - :aggressive:

Light snow with small flakes still falling.

PS has anyone looked into next week for a couple of batteground events?

glad to hear it...

....moving on, yes some real potential for more battleground scenarios in the short/medium term

These reports of falling temperatures and dew points to the east of here are really encouraging. The cold air really is going to put up a fight. Someone east of Birmingham is going to have an amazing afternoon and evening I think!

Very light snow started 2.15pm Chilwell, just SW of Nottingham. I'll be amazed if we get more than 0.25" here - we never do!

Static Prevails, yes, im Granny sitting across from the Queens Park, so very town center.

Ah, I'm in Inkersall, the odd flake is falling here now. :)

Hopefully it won't turn to rain here, but we'll see.

That's more like it..............snowing now in Knowle, very light but already sticking to the bone dry ground. Windy as well.

Slight increase in flake 'gurth' now.. If we can get the heavier PPN before the change to sleet and rain there might be some pictures to be had before its gone.

Is there any chance we could get away with an all snow event? Been all snow here so far, though mostly light its sticking quite well with most surfaces coated white. Going to have to carry on for alot longer though and have to get heavier to bury the grass!

Light flakes turning a tad heavier now. Temp has dropped to -0.7, DP up slightly to -6.4 (but still colder than it was a couple of hours ago).

Good point....looking at the radar, the moment of truth for us in the west midlands is not too far away....A band of much more intense PPN is approaching from the WNW....if this arrives as snow that we're good to go, if not and it's rain/sleet then I would imagine that that is the permanent change over with no going back

Sense of realism (keeps up hopes that things get very snowy, very messy and very white later on and stays until tommorow)

Indeed, nail biting stuff....and with reports of every type of precipitation possible north and west of us it's hard to tell what's about to happen.

We are about to find out very very soon if this is going to be a decent event or a washout.

So far, we're ok but its taking an age to accumulate any more than it has.
