Look's like it is going to happen for most of the MIdlands, barring perhaps the far west.

Great forecasting by the MO

Ithink its tonight it might turn back to rain for some of us Midlanders.

No chance your further east than me and radar suggests you haven't had as much PPN as me, there's only a small sugar coating here and its been snowing for 45 minutes or so. Get out there, take a picture of it and show us if youv got 2cm.

two points...

1) He said half a cm of snow

2) I don't like your tone of post

calm down & chill out Radders

Sitll holding at -1c here just over 160 meters above sea level with a dusting of snow of all surfaces and snow falling lightly although at times more pingy indicating freezing rain in the mix.

Misunderstanding there... by 1/2cm I meant half a cm :D

just finished insulating the houdini hatches on the roof and the first flakes are swirling in the breeze at shardlow near east midlands airport. It sounds like there is a testing day at Donnington Park race circuit, could be interesting up there if they carry on....

Sounds exactly like 14 miles up the road here!

Dusting of snow here, temperature dropped by a degree to -1. Hopefully it will stay as snow!

Going to be nail biting stuff...but we're off to a good start.

Although, we are getting scenes right now that not long ago we were thinking would be impossible this winter. So if it does turn to rain and becomes a compete washout...just think back to where we were in mid January and how much we would have even taken a snow to rain event then.

I am calm, I was only saying. Perhaps the tone may have come across wrong - :aggressive:

Light snow with small flakes still falling.

PS has anyone looked into next week for a couple of batteground events?

We are getting light snow...more to come and hopefully the change over to rain is still a few hours away...I can see a good 2-3cm before the changeover for us, maybe a bit more. Not brilliant but like I said, in a winter like this one I'll take it!

white over nearly, some strong gusts as well that sweep the snow in clouds down the road.

temps moved from -1 to -1.8. Heavy stuff on the way, com'on, could be looking at 15cm by tommorrow.

In south brum it is coming down nicely - settling too. Flake size increasing. Good job this is a Saturday arvo and not midweek rush hour.
