God it feels cold out there, i hope the poor pony that lives on the bit of land near where i am is going to be ok. I don't very often see anyone tending to him and i had a quick look tonight when i took him some carrots but he doesn't have hardly any straw in his house. (and i say house in the loosest possible term)

I'll have to check on him in the morning.

1 below here in belvedere kent and snowing .....only a novice but in my area 0.5 above freezing is usually the ideal temp for snow yet snowing quite heavy and settling at minus 1 ..educate me mr murr or someone with more experience

Snow is now definitely intensifying and the wind is picking up. Flakes are still quite small but lots of them.

In Surbiton, my son and I just left our lamppost watch posts and went out to play snowballs in the snow:) Just a few millimetres lying but small flakes coming down hard and blowing in the wind. Had a great snowball fight, and then got booby trapped by dad on the way back - who had already been caught lying in wait by a confused neighbour! Good snowy fun already this evening - wine now chilled and ready

Right guys further east of me (Stanford through to Southend) the snow DOES get going quite rapidly once the true heavier pluse arrives, so I'd not worry to much. Settles instatly as well by the way!
