Not liking the hole in the precipitation showing on the radar around Leeds at the end of the 18.00 run. This needs to move further SW very quickly, it just seems to be going S

Is this some kind of cruel joke by the snow gods? Tamworth now has snow *20 miles to my West* Stratford Upon Avon has snow *about 50 miles to my South* Nottingham has snow *30 miles to my North*, Peterborough has snow *35 miles to my East, but still nothing falling from the sky here?!

We've had nothing either.

Radar is showing precipitation over us now since under an hour ago but nothing is falling down from the sky to ground level.

Maybe there's a snow shield between Coventry and Leicester after all...

Andy I think that Leicester snow shield is back in full working order, met updated not long ago still showing heavy snow for Leicester but wether it can get past the shield is another thing

I have to admit, I always try to be optimistic and not count chickens...but I'm having some serious concerns about the way this is panning out.

Mild uppers, main precipitation not heading towards us..I know I said earlier that I thought it was heading SW...I'm not so sure now having had another go at tracking it. There seems to be a lot going on that could ruin it for us in a big way. I hope I'm wrong.

Still...mustn't think like that, the rain is turning sleety and temps will be below 0 later so if snow falls, it will settle despite the wet surface. Must keep looking at the positives!

Nothing in Earl Shilton yet. As nice as it would be to wake up to snow tomorrow morning I'm still happy enough with what we had on Saturday. Anything extra will be a bonus now.

I don't think it can, the shield has been out of action for the last 3 months charging it's batteries and now it's on full power :(

It's all Lucy Kite's fault. Mind you, she looks a real treat in her matching scarf and head band.

We should be grateful we got some. Those poor places west of Telford are having a torrid time...I would also mention the northwest of England but didn't they have some success in December up there?

Edit: I've quoted the wrong person...sorry Lee! :fool:

Definite snow in Brum city centre just walked in it on way to catch my train at New Street! Flakes falling on to wet ground but still actual snow rather than pellets. Just got to see what its like when I get home now...
