The first thundery trough which crossed NE England was too far south to give me an overhead storm, but the second line of showers/storms is building northwards, so I have everything crossed for this one.

That European forecast looks great - I wish I was in Munich!

Watch out Bristol. Just heard a rumble of thunder to the northeast.

Excellent! Getting darker here now. Rain getting heavier.

Just had it hit us, the cell over Sheffield appears to have a cracker of an anvil above it from here.

Definitely, it's a continuous line, the view out of my window west and north is stunning with the sun now out, cells lit up all around.

Well that was a crap shower! Must have just skimmed me and now the suns out. Black skies to my North.

Next installment has just been and gone in the last ten minutes, this time with no thunder but hail instead. Pretty impressive stuff.

Yep.

The one that has brewed up over Sheffield in the last hour has got pretty big, and hopefully, should continue to show a bit of electric build up..

Thought I'd belatedly report a thunderstorm (weak) here about 3pm-3:30. It gave us a glancing blow and rather petered out as it past. I was working outside at the time though and got a great view of it as it approached - saw 5-6 cg bolts of lightning, and some reasonably distant thunder :) 3 storms for June :)

Got caught in a thunderstorm whilst walking in the Yorkshire Wolds this afternoon. Not much lightning observed but plenty of loud thunder.

Plenty of showers about but T & L activity seems to be dying down.

How many miles away from me Miguel are you as I get what u have had minuts later, yet another downpour here

Whereabouts do you live in Bristol? Probably about 10-15 miles depending.

Sun back out and lovely and warm again. Reached 20.6C before any rain and went right down to 13.7C after the hail storm.

frequent heavy showers here now, and I've just heard a very close sferic. No thunder though but can't have been to far away. A few more sferics more distant starting now.

Okay so not that far from me then which would make sense. Looks like that's the lot for the moment - I'm amazed there wasn't more thunder tbh.

I think things are stabilizing now, so the showers are beginning to lose their oomph, starting from the NW.

Some extremely heavy stuff is pushing in to Leeds.

Not that often you see white echoes on rain today
