well my temperature seems to have peaked today at -1.1c and in last 20 mins has dropped back to -1.3c can't see this getting above 0c today

A report from a friend of some snow in Southampton. Just a few flakes but still the white stuff.

According to wunderground its a balmy 5c here after a low of -5c cant see thats right somehow!

Thick fog here, & given that we're into the afternoon, it's unlikely to clear me thinks...bitterly cold to boot!

After mid day and still very frosty in the shade, More of worry that still have some standing water on fields and ground rather waterlogged, River still flowing fast but level gone down, Hope not too much rain later in week, My poor son still recovering from there last flood, Nice to join forum,,,,,,,,,

haha I find it a fairly useful app by the met office as it takes into acount height etc and gives you a decent breakdown of the day. Saying that it does often change but it has been showing snow for the last day or so now for thursday.

its a lovely crisp day here ,my wifes gone shopping so just had some lovely hot sausage sandwiches with brown sauce wont do my diet good ,but hoping to work it off thursday morning Snow clearing lets hope we get some if only a couple of inches before the rain arrives ,enjoy your jacket if you get it ,cheers .

Still very white and frosty here, now the fog is descending; hoping for a thick hoare frost in the morning.

No sign of fog here yet at all. Clear blue skies and good visibility currently, although very cold.

No it is still clear here also with temp steady at -1 i'd rather it stayed clear til midnight to be honest to get those values very low as once fog arrives it does arrest the drop in temperatures somewhat.

Still white and frosty here, even in town. On another note, the Met Office website has the thunder symbol for Southampton on Saturday morning.

I was outside working from just after 07.00 and watched the initial clear sky be gradually replaced by low cloud then fog. The first sign of a change were a few patches of fractal Stratus moving off Salisbury Plain and across the beautiful crescent moon.

By 08.30 it was obvious that the sun wasn't going to shine as there was extensive low cloud moving off the Plain while clear sky remained towards the West and North. This low cloiud then formed into fog which is very extensive in this area and an ice day looks likely with the current temperature -0.6c .

getting the occasional bit of snizzle or what ever you want to call it.
