I wouldnt write off the front just yet- 20:55 shows echoes deepening over Peterborough ( just north)

Yes but only a feeble effort even in the darker echoes, according to the regional thread.

I'm losing excitement rapidly with no good reports from the NW or the east!

Off for a nice hot bath, hopefully the front will have arrived in some decent form by the time I am done!?!?

Happy radar watching everyone, see you later!!!

It's looking like the radar showing the blob in the north sea could be mainly virga....see it loads here in winter

Wow, was just reading through your signature, some really impressive stats. Seems so funny we are all talking about the hope of 2-5cms up against that snowstorm of yours... 27inches in 24hrs. It must have been incredible and even scary!

A summary of my snow chances for this week:

Tonight's snow showers likely to stay to the East of me.

Tonight's frontal system likely to die out before reaching me.

Tomorrow's frontal system likely to bring me rain.

Tuesday to Thursday's snow showers likely to miss me (I rarely see snow showers from a North Easterly).

Friday likely to be dry.

Who said East was best?

I remember a great snowfall around 3 to 4 years ago in Kingston / surbiton. I hope and pray for this winter.also do any of you remember a band of snow coming south overnight about a month ago which was supposed to give us nothing but when I woke up there was some with trains etc delayed. Shows what can happen you never know might happen again tonight but a bit more amplified. Here's hoping

So, is all that pink on the radar a figment of our collective imagination, conjured up by our mass hysteria?

If you are lucky enough to see snow, don't worry, I'll be around with a fan heater to melt it.

Excellent summary!

Stil odd flakes falling here, but that blob is called anaprop - its not snow or anything else of note at ground level!
