The really heavy snowfall I remember also around 3 or so years ago - Ewell Road was completely snowed-up and it was like the whole road got cosier with everyone out walking:) Still hoping, but it feels rather against hope right now!

Of course that was from a Thames Streamer which we don't have now:(

We might still get one this week, then we can all go out and talk to our neighbours:)

Mild sector is at exactly the WRONG time for the area south of London tomorrow. Much better run for back edge snow though. Whether we'll have any precip around at that point is another question

Anyone from Bromley on the forum? I understand it's snowing there as I type.

I'm up the road in Biggin Hill and there is no snow here....yet!

What's up jp

This thread is full of fantastic forecasters who know what there talking about

They back every comment up with informative charts and evidence of there statements

Not to mention the vigorous lengths they go to, to produce the fax charts every night since September.

Not forgetting the fact that they took the time to answer everyone's questions in this thread

You really shouldn't get the hump mate

Sorry mods but it had to be said

Cheers jp

Agreed, but there will be limited precipitation left to settle by the time the 850s are cold enough for snow. That is what I was referring to lol

How do you know that already though Col ??

If the Low grinds to a halt in the Southern North Sea the precip area will pivot, we dont know yet

a, wether the Low will get stuck

b, How much precip will be on the Northern Flank!

Snow line tomorrow afternoon/eve looks to be N.Essex north. So EA basically. Perhaps a dusting further south. Could all change though. Its pure luck what we get in our back yards.

Thats a myth. Once dew points and temperatures drop it'll settle whether the ground is wet or not. I've seen snow settling on puddles before

I hope it does stall and / or produce a wrap around. I'm just going by the latest model guidance

Like I have said before we need to set up a John Pike fan club. What would we do without his nightly forecasts. He caters for multiple learning methods with text and pictures and gives an honest description of what we can expect. Others could maybe learn from his teaching method and evidence he provides.
