You do mean East don't you?

Don't mean to sound like Mr Grumps and I'm not being difficult.

But you are doing a very good impression...........

GFS 12z has lighter ppn and the NAE has even lighter.

Don't mean to sound like Mr Grumps and I'm not being difficult.

But the way I'm seeing things at the moment is the West Midlands are about to have some great snowfall on Friday, this is confirmed with Amber warnings and TV forecasts really focusing on western areas.

So why are some members acting as if we will be snowed in, in the SE.

London will shut down etc etc. Apart from the 06z the GFS over the last couple runs has just light snow for us, that's even if the ppn makes it here.

Sorry just wanting know if I'm reading things wrong.

Yes it looks like light snow and will look very pretty but not disruptive.

Some say Amber warnings extended tomorrow - hope so :-)

Anyway at least this is better than the mild dross from the Atlantic so I'll take light snow with low accumulation anyday :-)

London only needs 1 cm of snow to shut down

Big downgrade on Ppn intensity compared to the 6z run. But I will take what I can get at the moment!

Neil, what are you looking at?

If you compare the previous run it was ever so slightly further west and not as strong, this was BEFORE you posted the rest of the charts. Look when I posted and when you posted the next time scale

Depends on the models people ar elooking at

GFS shows 5mm average for around 25 hours over Kent and the SE as a whole.

That is potentially 10cm snow.

Touch more East on the next one and that'll be perfect

That's a home run for west London - steady snowfall and no marginality.

Temp dropping quickly now. Never got above -0.2c here so an ice day - well at least according to my back garden met office smile.png

When out earlier in Charing we had a lovely little flurry seemingly out of v little cloud. Still a bit of lying snow about and very icy in places. All lovely winter weather with so much more to come - i hope !!!

Current temp -1.6c
