GFS 12z has lighter ppn and the NAE has even lighter.

Don't mean to sound like Mr Grumps and I'm not being difficult.

But the way I'm seeing things at the moment is the West Midlands are about to have some great snowfall on Friday, this is confirmed with Amber warnings and TV forecasts really focusing on western areas.

So why are some members acting as if we will be snowed in, in the SE.

London will shut down etc etc. Apart from the 06z the GFS over the last couple runs has just light snow for us, that's even if the ppn makes it here.

Sorry just wanting know if I'm reading things wrong.

Yes it looks like light snow and will look very pretty but not disruptive.

Some say Amber warnings extended tomorrow - hope so :-)

Anyway at least this is better than the mild dross from the Atlantic so I'll take light snow with low accumulation anyday :-)

Chill man. Nae only going upto midday friday which is when it starts so your worrying over nothing! And gfs is a touch slower bringing the front to us (reaching London around 2pm instead of midday)

It's all good:)

Reason I ask the above is because some are suggesting tomorrows runs will shift it back west and for Friday we could remain cold and dry, I don't see it personally.

I'm confused some say lots some say less some say more east some day more west .Whats going on lol

Neil, what are you looking at?

prectypeuktopo.png

You do mean East don't you?

But you are doing a very good impression...........

Stop being sarky. I was polite enough to say 'I don't mean to be grumpy' and yet you still felt the need to mention it instead of backing up your ramping of disruptive snow for the SE? (No wonder members start bickering)

Anyway the way I see things is a good 24hrs of light snowfall across the region, perhaps high accumulations towards Oxford.

I don't feel it will be disruptive, I hope I'm wrong!

Howdy SE and Londoners. Thought I'd pop in and see how things were going. Looking 'interesting' for Friday into Saturday.

I'm supposed to be travelling down to the south coast on Saturday morning by train, returning home by car around midnight. Not sure whether I'm going to enjoy this trip considering the outputs.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying the cold and frost and the beautiful countryside we have at the moment. Sure makes a change from all that mud.

That would have to be one almighty shift West for our region to miss out!

Even if we do stay cold and dry a strong easterly would set up streamers.

We wont be in an Easterly though.

More realistic Ppn accumulations from this run.

5-10mm generally for the region. Guess where the 5mm is? Thats right over my back garden!

Compared to 10-12mm on the 6z run.

Predicted accumulations by 12z Sun (GFS 12z):

5-6mm for Essex/Kent/Lon/Herts

7-9mm for S.Surrey, S.Kent and S.Sussex

8-10mm for Berks/Bucks/Ox

Lets hope for a big conversion rate.

Anyone follow @KentWeather on twitter or facebook? Looks like he has deleted both accounts?

Kent Weather posted on Facebook earlier that he was shutting down. Wouldn't give a reason. Shame.
