Things pepping up again. Possibly another 1-2 CMS before the days done. :D that would mean somewer between 15-20cms of snow where its not been disturbed.

Still going Nr St Neots, just been out with the dog and its no less than earlier in the day! Hope it keeps going, really enjoying this as usually this area gets either scraps or completely missed. BBC weather says it will go on until 3am.

Are we looking at any more snow after this event? or is it looking dry?

Not sure yet, there's so many low pressure systems skirting around the UK over the next 5 days that anything could happen.

Its hardly moving on the radar though, it could hang around all night I think (if we are lucky!)

Edit: Checkout the traffic cameras for some of the major motorways in the firing line, its settled / settling in some parts (M1):

Things really beginning to take shape here now, can see some areas of the extreme E Mids and Lincs/Yorks being quite badly affected over the next few hours.

Look at the precipitation driving westwards when it gets as far north as the wash!!!

I don't know what others of you think, but the wind direction is pushing in an west west south kind of direction.

I wonder how much influence it's having over the system thats been hanging over us all day. It was meant to be well on its way to Scotland by now

Not that I'm complaining :-)

It's been a real non event here. Real fine/west stuff no settle. Tomorrow going to be a nightmare with ice. Are snow shields a myth or real? Because it's just fizzling out when it's hitting Nottingham.

Ok I have just had a walk around the village, a kwik pint in the igloo under candle light, still snowing snizzling, however the tempature is still above freezing at 0.3, it needs to freeze! The roads are slushy but quite passable, however if it froze it would be interesting!

Still just the odd flurry here, utterly disappointed with todays effort.
