Sorry my pic up there is sideways. Not sure how to fix it.

just thought it was typical bmw performance in snow... ie skidding and overturning :)

Still clear as a bell here but there's SO many showers surely 1 of them might hit us

Oi, I have very good snow-walking skills, I'll have you know :D

Fair coming down now in a Winter Wonderland way - still only maybe half an inch in total, but everything that lands is staying. The surface of the fallen snow is also glittering like I've only seen it do up in the tops of hills, not down here - presumably the extra cold?

Right here on the coast at (if this doesn't say cockroft when referring to a bbc forecaster, I have maturity issues) Cockenzie and Port Seton, been on and off snaw for 4 hours - prob just under an inch now on ground. From a SE? Unusual. Looking at the radar, forget your Forth-Clyde streamers, we have a Newcastle-East Lothian streamer! good.gif

Main feature here now is the wind, almost gale force and gusting to 50mph. Temp continues to rise, now +2.6c....from 1.3c at 6pm.

Looks like the showers have moved a bit more west moving us out of the firing line :( hopefully we'll catch a few more later.

Thats better! now at my weekend abode and 2in lying. Snow all day in Carnoustie but melted on impact, seems to be better here. Blinds tilted, lamp post in direct view. Temp around 1.5 dp -1. Let the fun begin. smile.png

My experience of an easterly for snow prospects in Aberdeen can be very patchy. Sometimes hit, sometimes - like so far - mainly miss. The seemingly increasingly rarer Northerlys are usually our best chance. I long for the time of blocked Northerly winds, for days at a time, 'the good old days'!

Anyway, for those of you further south that do have snow - ENJOY! :)

Had very light snow showers on and off for the last hour and a half in grangemouth. This one had lasted about 20 minutes but still hardly any accumulations yet. Looking at the radar, it could get a bit heavier soon.
