Well I am buffeted after just walking the dog. When I left I thought it was fine snow outside, but actually it was graupel! Blowing at me from all angles. By the time I got back to the house it had turned to snow. Fascinating the change, but preferred the snow though as I nearly lost my eyesight to the graupel!

(and like the big kid I am I loved being the first to tred in some of the new snow blum.gif )

Dry here with the wind gusting. Temp up to a warmest of the day 2.3C. Hard to believe this afternoon in daylight it was below freezing. If this keeps up tomorrows sledging session for the youngest will be off.

Think that I will have an early night and hope for an improvement tomorrow. Good luck for more snow to those that have kept the lower temps.

Met office have once again failed, utterly, to predict this. No orange warning for the areas that needed it most even though NMM and yr.no hinted at this squall line. Why the hell did they fail to issue warnings for the right areas just a few hours before it kicked off? They have improved in recent years but this was quite a poor show IMO

Yes best to use the Scottish Met Office now and our SWM :D

Still dry here and wind picking back up again top gusts recently touching 50mph temps are still low though.

Reports from north Northumberland of a level foot...

This is pretty stunning really, more incoming based on the 2100 radar after this eventually clears? More bands incoming further north too! Could be feet by Sunday, feet

I'm moving on Sunday LS! To 220m up in the Lammermuirs...it's going to happen isn't it?!
