Dew points must be dropping, a wintry mix right now, can't be long before becomes proper snow

Hoping for 3 or 4 inches here tonight

Snow is slowly getting heavier here, no sign of any sleetyness... YET!

At work in tropical Lewisham, SE London seems like rain only but the lampposts are too far away so can't make out properly if it's sleety rain or not

back to rain. Been quite something further north and very localised in parts. Even just having a look on the traffic cams, you can go from massively snowy at one junction and nothing much at all at the next. Very much doubt we will see anything like that here - or at least in my part.

Temps dropping once the snow arrives; gone from 1.6c to 1.1c in 10 mins. Still snowing steadily and starting to cover cars and pavements.

It's been an very good cold spell even though we missed out on last Fridays event here in Essex (well in my bit anyway). If February can provide some fireworks it will end up being an overall excellent winter. Fingers crossed.

Well it's definitely snowing in Medway! I've just driven back from Canterbury and as soon as I hit blue bell hill, it was snowing all the way through to the Medway towns.... Starting to get quite heavy now in the wind!? I honestly thought we'd have rain or sleet at best! Best not snow too much as I have to be in Canterbury again tomorrow morning!haha
