It is a complete joke how inaccurate the models have been!! Was really looking good at the start of the week to!! We have been chasing phantom cold from last September! Hoping for a bit of warmth this year so hopefully the models can get the summer right this year!! Lol

I would really love a clear spell between now and the end of march to be able to see comet Panstarrs before it disappears. Just a clear spell in the west of the sky at twilight from about 6.15 - 6.45pm please???? Not much to ask lol!

Heavy snow here this morning, looked out when I got up just before 9 and it must have just been starting. Place is getting quite white now with large flakes falling.

Glad to see you folks in the north-east have seen snow this morning - the forecast was for rain / hail showers - just goes to show anything is possible over the next week or so - if anything as we get closer to next week the chances of snowfall for some parts are increasing based on latest models especially for northern and eastern areas............no March heat wave this year by a long shot........

Just had one heavy crazy Hail/Soft hail snowy shower here near Dublin. Left everything white and slippy. Nice to watch

It's heavy mountain shadow. Trying hard to lie but hills around saintfield look like its def lying so I reckon it's lying in carryduff being that bit higher!! Been constant since 3 ! Where has this come from. Next week looks good now too???? !!!

Threat of a significant snow event by weeks end! I really do hope so!!

Ok have now received modifications etc re UKMO-GM out into Thurs-Fri. Little to add really: same story as Ops Centre have run with over past 2 days; ie Fri seeing heavy, persistent rain in SW/S; threat of significant snow N Ireland, Wales, N England & Midlands. Rate of advance and northward extent of PPN key uncertainties; GM modified towards deterministic/ensemble middle-ground. No early alerts considered imminent given areal and timing disparities. That's it in a nutshell... so no change from yesterday's Exeter viewpoint.
