Hope this works OK but attached some photos from my brothers house in Franklin, 15 miles SW of Boston.

2 feet plus of snow and all roads on his estate cleared already!

NAE out to midday tomorrow - http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=nae&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=prty&HH=18&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0&WMO=&PERIOD= So long as the precipitation stays light whilst its too warm to fall as rain it will mean the surfaces aren't too wet for the snow to settle tomorrow evening.

And 18z GFS refuses to budge too much in terms of its rain/snow boundary:

21-574.GIF?09-1824-574.GIF?09-1827-574.GIF?09-1830-574.GIF?09-18

Still suggesting the N and E of the region at greatest risk - 18z NAE precip totals are lower then the 12z ones though not by much.

Less than 24 hours to go and we still can't get a resolution. Looks like it will be a busy thread tomorrow

18z NAE has downgraded again. Rain for the majority by lunchtime. Perhaps some light wet snow late evening. No doubt it will change again overnight though.

Nothing but drizzle here , not even very cold , I don't smell snow coming , i am a few miles inland on the east Sussex coast downland and feel we might miss out , but I really hope I am wrong , cos I love the stuff !

Tom I am 76m asl for the comp

Tom, I've no idea what I am except quite high for SE Essex (bit like being the tallest dwarf at a dwarfs only party) but Paul S says I am a 20m asl above him so I will roll with 96m asl

Cheers

Acc Snow chart for midnight tomorrow.

Says it all really. Its going to be a massive struggle for most to see laying snow I think.

Hopefully the NAE is underplaying it. But we need huge upgrades overnight to make it worthy of lamp post watch.

Simon Keeling isn't making much of this event for low levels. I think we're going to have a cold wet day/night.

Thats a relief, he called it completely wrong for me in January.
