Light snow blowing around in the wind here, anyone know if any ppn is coming out of that down from the north?????

Looks like Stourbridge is copping some good moderate-heavy snow right now looking at the radar. :)

Looks like Stourbridge is copping some good moderate-heavy snow right now looking at the radar. smile.png

Looks good on the radar !!! same here but only light fluffy snow..! nice to watch though

Only very light snow in Stourbridge I am afraid. Was white over this morning from overnight snow, which was nice to see!

Snow far to light to make any difference, but tomorrow looks abit more interesting the forecast is for the showers (that we might get) is for them to be quite intense

so more chance of them settling!!!! for today i think that's it and one very cold night coming up cold.gif

Snow flurries on and off all afternoon and the temp did not reach 3C. It felt cold but not as bitter as yesterday.

few flurries today, 5.1C max, -6.1C min, (coldest of winter) should see heavy showers tomorrow, could fall as hail/snow, before the washout next week, only cotswolds will see the damn snow

Looking at the latest... ecm model...for next week it won't be a washout we will need shovels to dig our self's out !!!!!!

Pretty much agree with the guy above. The 12Z ECMWF would probably deliver something a little bit more wintrier for next week, but I do personally think that model is being a bit too eager trying to sink the Low Pressure system South-Eastwards, (especially when compared to some of the other models such as the GFS 12Z at 144 hours) before it slowly bounces back North-Westwards near the end of the run. Would probably clearly need to see more runs to see if this trend continues, otherwise it looks as though the cool/cold conditions could continue for a while yet.

In a way, one part of me is hoping some warm, sunny conditions will arise from the models soon. Just seems to be lacking at the moment.

Depends on how intense the showers are i think most will be of snow and hail and if the ppn gets down to SW parts of the midlands may be sleet Edited by dancer with wings

This time yesterday evening temps were below -3 my temp is now at +2 i know ive got cloud cover but i thought the outside temps would be lower than they are ?.

I am for one! I'm sick of the cold & the models are filling me with horror. Even worse that the snow obsessives still haven't left the building & are swaggering around the model thread, clubbing anyone who doesn't share their view & desires. PLEASE weather Gods, send us something warm & SOON!

I must admit i do like the cold+snow!!! but one last bite of winter would be nice maybe a good dumping

then im with you all the way got loads to do in the garden
