Away from convective mention for now, (well of sort!) Would,nt be shocked to see lp Channel influx shape, undercut somewhat and mingle with by then devolping, moderate shower scatter incoming from eastern perameters,i,e, developing convect, east side....then its most likely disrupt being the by word...cant wait to see upcoming unfold......

If the GFS comes off an area from Brighton to Devon from the coast to about 20 miles inland could get upwards of 2ft of snow IMHO

People living particularly in Dorset, Somerset and Devon should be very excited right now

UKMO has the low much further South than the GFS. Barely scrapes the coast. More reliable than the GFS. Hope so anyway as i have 80 deliveries to do in Worthing on Monday. Snow? No thanks

..and i gotto get to Manchester and back sometime over the weekend.. can't change the weather! - but being able to know what's going to happen and choosing when to drive would be nice (-:

the range of temps and predicted snow/rain even at this close range seems crazy maisy w00t.gif

Take your camera on Monday - might look really pretty, you never knowdrinks.gif

I'm off in a mo, but I'll leave you with the fax chart so you can gaze at the front meandering down the country over us and bringing something, hopefully very special for many:

I think Floatylight was thinking like me, the top edge of that yellow blob is around abouts our area when she said marginal.

This is not marginal.

I'd guess Floaty is meaning her location, rather than the precipitation type, as Colchester is right on the margin on that chart.

Until 30 mins before the event starts am I going to get my hopes up or not. To many times this winter we have been let down by pesky warm sectors showing 6hrs or so before and so close but no party and fireworks yes lots to give many a good old pasting but let's wait and see ;-)

John.. Marid? Monday in French? It's the 8th today how can Monday be the 12th?
