3.4C with a dew point of 1.4C currently here in Emneth on the Norfolk/Cambridegehire border, had steady rain most of the day which has turned more sleety in the past hour.

Hi John, do you think it will still be cold enough to make that lot to the north-east snow when it arrives here or is it too soon to say?

I'm just west of Norwich and it is snowing and laying

I'm just west of Norwich and it is snowing and laying

Worth saying twice...

Seriously though, that band was supposed to be pushed South but it appears to be going gradually North instead.

a very nice chart

should be snow around

amounts etc uncertain

there are troughs in the north sea so expect showers being driven inland

on a very strong and bitter east-north east flow

also spot the trough just to our north

waiting for updated fax but i still think it will be a radar watch

GFS0.5 shows snow leaving south coast by 1.00pm Tuesday, a bit faster than ther previous run, all a little further south, still some nice accumulations, particularly along south coast.

The latest NAE is different to the previous one for 6am Monday with the main snow band absent. I know it might sound like I am saying it because I don't like what it suggests, but it looks a bit suspect ppn wise to me. Even over Northern France very close to the low, it looks like it has underdone the amount of ppn. Its not uncommon to got one rogue output on the NAE - especially in its 'FI' frames.

Might be worth evaluating the position after the evening one has come out. GFS still bullish abount bringing the snow to southern counties, although as you say it is more progressive in clearing it awaysmile.png

Never effects mine, but then again I never have to go anywhere more then a couple of miles from where I live and love walking in snow.

Coming down heavier in Norwich (snow that is). Laying nicely on the grass and other surfaces. Paths are just slush at the moment but I suspect it will stick more as the temps drop. If it freezes tonight there will be a lot of ice about.

I am not so sure on amounts have you looked at NW forecast for Mon/Tues,very strong winds and medium/heavy snow...considering booking Tuesday off in case I am very late home on Monday....don't wan't to waste a days holiday but recently have been late home every day due to crashes etc so add a bit of snow and it could be worse...
