Have you guys not seen the NAE or are you choosing to ignore it?

Just looked at the NAE, on monday as far as it goes the frontal snow misses but it does seem to show several lines of east coast ppn one of which goes right down the thames. I'll take that if it happens. Or the frontal stuff if that happens. I will just see what happens on the day.

I remember that Sunday 5 weeks ago when we got snow, metoffice were going for up to 8cm...we ended getting 15cm (6 inches)

Some parts of north london, waltham abbey, west essex (epping) into bucks etc haven't done to badly this winter even when the event/events were marginal and yes you were one of the lucky ones - the exception rather than the rule though.

Deepest snow here all winter has been around 6 cms.

Wet snow in Norwich according to tommo on Soccer Saturday

On this basis, is Louise Lear going to be giving football tips?

I dunno. I can't help but be a bit skeptical. BBC aren't having it and neither are MetO or Metcheck for NW Kent.

really?.....

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Cloudy with sleet and snow on Monday, perhaps heavy to the south of London. Further snow showers for Tuesday and Wednesday. Cold with brisk northeasterly winds giving a marked chill.

"A spell of sleet and snow is expected, starting in the early hours of Monday morning in southwest England, and affecting southern England more widely by the end of the morning. Snow will be accompanied by a strong easterly wind which will accentuate the very cold feel. Accumulations of 2-4 cm of snow could occur quite widely over southern counties, with a risk of 5-10 cm over Dartmoor."

looks like early hours of monday to me....

GFS0.5 shows snow leaving south coast by 1.00pm Tuesday, a bit faster than ther previous run, all a little further south, still some nice accumulations, particularly along south coast.
