Think we're within a few degrees of having an ENE flow, in the early hours and some -10 uppers over us.

Will approaching frontal cloud from the low over N.W.France be a hindrance to much convection firing, though?

Tom.

The centre of that low is considerably further north than modelled, it may start to shift on an eastwards track but, as a starting point, that's better for frontal snow down here. The one variable still unknown is just how far north that front will be dropping something from the air.

Just looked outside and cloud cover is breaking up here in Anerley SE20 and wind direction def. looks to be

turning more towards the E. Interesting.

I agree, reckon it will be tracking further into our region than the 18z GFS predicted.

this is like waiting for a summer storm and depends how this reacts with the channel

Just walked home from a restaurant in what can only be described as a mixture of wind and snizzle.... Wizzle? Anyway, definitely cold, but not bitter. There was just about enough Wizzle on a car bonnet outside my house for me to scrawl NW.... my brother looked at me like I was a loon. Granted, he has no idea what that stands for and secondly it's clear I should never have agreed to the after dinner liqueur!

What I interpret is blob hitting anglia

Low hitting south

Where's tomorrow's coming from

When I don't understand the news I go to CBBcnewsround

Is there an equivalent here??

I'm not thick got a first degree but I lack sensibility lol

I think we have wizzle too.

Somewhere in between sleet and snow, but not enough to even make the ground wet, which is odd, because it's been the same for about 2 hours now

Latest forecast wasn't to bad actually looks like south east will get some of that snow just have to wait an see how much, but out French neighbours are going to do very well could top 40+cm -_- if only we had that slight shift north.

hi sarah

the potential from the south is from the outer band from the low

the low is still expected to get or hit very close tomorrow pm

there is still streamer potential and precipitation from the north sea

basically from all angles

I think that's confirmation of certain wizzling going on! Can verify there is still wizzling here but now borderlining on actual snow!

lol!....

the low is definitely further north and on a slow moving track. the precip is headed straight for us. lets hope it can keep up the intensity, if so we could be looking at... well.... lets just say ground level could be a good few inches higher in the morning.... and white.....
