whiteout in greenhithe..... heavy snow and large flakes falling fast for 5 mins or so now

Nothing just now up the road from you here,but curtain twitching every few mins......when i`m not radar watching here! :D

Still no precip, of any.there are signs of banded showers, but as again due to the nature of the beast some will not expérience. Just simply watch and wait...

I really wish the woman on the BBC would stop saying the snow is not going to settle until this eve. My son's taxi has just rang to say his car was sliding over the road and its not safe to drive (he goes to a soecial needs school...im not lazy!!) but because of the BBC forecast ive sent my daughter off to college on the bus. Worried now :(

Getting steadily heavier and heavier down here , flake size has increased too, going to be an interesting trip up to Haywards Heath and back in a few hours

well it's snowing in Reigate and we are about 6 miles north of Gatwick.

Slightly heavier now,still no settling on pavements ,roads though

Temp steady at -0.9c

It is in Mile Oak !! both then roads and pavements...just goes to show what an extra 75 Meters in elevation can do !

BBC forecasters haven't exactly covered themselves in glory though the last few days,only a couple of days ago according to them no parts of the country would experience disruptive snow!
