After a brief lull turning colder again and more snow looks likely again.Thats my view of the overnight runs.

Morning chilly peeps!

A dusting overnight in Eastbourne on top of some frost on the car made for a funny 5 minutes trying to clear the screen. A beautiful day now with glorious sunshine lighting up the drifting snow on the way into work. Seems like Benny Hill caught lots of snow as it's still piled up alongside places like Folders Lane - glad I didn't take that route home the other night.

Morning all,

Most of the snow has melted now. It looks so lovely when it falls and covers everything but so messy when it melts and leaves patches here and there. Still got quite a bit in the back garden but not sure it will still be there when I get home from work :(

Looking forward to possibly another snow roller coaster next week but if its not to be, let's hope the rain doesn't last too long!

Happy Wednesday everyone :)

Maybe a slight risk of convective weather today, I've put some info in the new thread here:

Morning all,

A few wintry/snow showers about for some today, perhaps. ECM looking cold again, after that low to our NW drops down and transfers to our south (hopefully). Prospects of some white stuff about, if those synoptics come to fruition.

Have a great day everyone.

Regards,

Tom.

Loosk like the areas at risk (low risk that is) of convective weather are where any snow showers might kick off later:

12_20.gif

18_20.gif

24_20.gif

Maybe a rumble or two of thunder in those showers?????

Lovely sunny morning here, already 2C. The best thing is that awful wind has calmed down :) Off to the allotment I go.

Light dusting of snow here. Not very much but hey ho.

ECM at mid-range this morning is very interesting :)

Battle between Winter and Spring evident in the models again this morning, looking cold next week, the same battle taking place in my garden today. Very icy this morning after some rain showers here last night.smile.png

Mornin each. Lovely sunny start here in Ippy. Sky is blue with light cloud and the snow has all but gone. :) It's 2c at the moment but apparently feels like -4....but it doesn't really feel that cold.

Have a good day everyone. :D

If that happened I would eat my hat. Actually I would eat more, I would eat the entire clothing I'm wearing right now which is jeans, boxers, t-shirt, a coat, socks and my pair of shoes.

UKMO 144 looking simlar to ecm 144 Very Cold!

post-16390-0-17941500-1363167638_thumb.g

GFS have a more complicated low pressure set up further North at present, restricting the coldest uppers to Scotland, would be cold and probably wet with these charts for the south east.

Looking at the moment like a wet weekend for all but not warm and a return to cold next week. GFS6z rolling out now, interesting to see if it moves the low further south for start of next week..

Morning Bjay

I am particulalry interested in this as am off to a conference near St Andrews Weds - Fri next week and looking at those charts I am wondering if there will be an impact on my flights and transfers in Scotland! Maybe I should pack my ice axe (though outrageously I probably won't be allowed to take it as hand baggage these days due to over zealous airport security personnel unreasonably viewing it as potentially dangerous. Jobsworths!)

4/6 then?

rofl.gif It's no use trying to predict snow depths at this point, let's get to the point where we see something that is actually indicating a good possibility of any snow before we get carried away trying to forecast how much we might see.
