Much milder today as expected, snow mostly thawed but holding up well in areas where it's compacted and in Worthing there was actually more.

today we drove from Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft via Gorleston and back and we saw -

rain

sleet

hail

snow

a blizzard for one minute

sunshine

Wow somehow it missed me, looks at raintoday, the blob develops a small dry chink over north Yarmouth before reforming it's circular shape. WHAT!!! The weather is literally trying everything to make the showers avoid my house.

It's hard to imagine its snowing in our area today as the sun is shining here!!! Fingers crossed for you lot that it provides a good dumping (I mean that in the nicest possible way :) )

I'm off to parents eve now. Wish me luck!

Who has turned up in the Mod thread? I'm confused but strangely intrigued

Yep some nice cumulonimbus cloud formations shame I wasn't under them haha. Got 30 seconds of snow before the sun came back out.

Wikipedia says

Shannon entropy is the average unpredictability in a random variable, which is equivalent to its information content. The concept was introduced by Claude E. Shannon in his 1948 paper "A Mathematical Theory of Communication"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Shannon

Basically a measure of whether the models are behaving themselves.

We've just had one hell of a hail storm here in Ippy. Then snow and sunshine. Hail was the size o processed peas. And it stung when it hit as well. :o
