The CB top has spread over the Midsomer Norton and Radstock area from the storm to the West of Wells. Won't hit me but areas in North and West Bristol could see a sharp shower of hail and thunder soon. several flashes picked up from my detector 20mls west of here.

Sat in the garden now, watching that cell develop to the north of Romsey. I can hear the thunder.

It's lovely in the sun. The Buzzards are spirally in the thermals and you can actually see the vapour rising from the soil.

Cracking afternoon. smile.png

STORM to my south and s east i can hear quite a few rumbles ,would expect it to move north towards bristol area ,getting darker but looks like very slow moving so intensity could change . what a differense to northern uk snow and wind ,here comes spring winter and perhaps summer all at once .drinks.gif

Turned into a gorgeous sunny day here and I've been stuck indoors cooking sad.png Looking out of my kitchen window towards the north west, I can see darker clouds, so that must be the storms to the west of Wells that I can see on the radar.

Looking South West, this is moving left to right.

I'm going to get wet in a minute.

Edit - Well that was rubbish. It slipped by up the A36.

The clouds have bubbled up and swallowed my sun and my warmth.

Apart from that one cell moving slowly north from edge of wells I cannot see much growth in shower activity anywhere else with those towards south coast even fizzling a little. search.gif

Yes Mullender a large void between the Wells area and Salisbury area, being in that void I'm only glad the mist and low cloud has burned off

to reveal pleasant sunshine, blue sky and views of TCu and CBs both to the WNW and SE which are the 2 thundery areas.

We had planned on going to Street this afternoon. So glad that I took the heavy showers warning to heart this morning and changed to Plan B. I think we would have got drenched!

Nothing here in the way of rain. Some dark clouds looming, but still dry and reasonable warm at 10°C

Light rain shower here now. This I'm on the eastern edge of the cell to the west of Bristol.

The western horizon has been black for an hour now but totaly missing me. Frustrating thing is its turned quite chilly as it is so dull outside with it. Still growing and forming from wells area and pushing north and then from radstock area it seems to grow north east a little into bristol area.

I want to see one wintry shower today! diablo.gif

Latest NAE suggests shower activity continuing into the early evening;

So a few more hours to salvage something yet.

Looks like the slow moving cell is dissipating as it nears Bristol. Maybe it will burst into life again soon.

Some good convection going up now in the aforementioned void so I wouldn't be surprised to see some showers popping up in the

Trowbridge area by 17.00 to 17.30 . Given that it's a calm day the clouds are moving quite briskly SW-NE.

Aldermaston cloud burst has almost stopped, very yellow/greenish clouds still around.
