He's doing a damn sight more than the Labour onionse that was in before him for the working classes.

Anyway, back on topic... light snow falling here now. smile.png

Am I allowed to ask what an onionse is?

On second thoughts, don't bother.

It's snowing a little bit more but looks like a pathetic attempt, it's like it's trying but then can't be bothered by the time it happens.

SP Its always difficult to predict the amounts of snow but the potential for something exceptional exists. Certainly the next hour looks terrific and the way its panning out we could have periods of heavy snow all evening and night. A lot depends whether the system to our south west stalls and intensifies over this area. It is expected to do so and intensify.

I retract my last statement, it appears to be getting heavier. Maybe it's finally starting now.

Beginning to stick on cars, rooves & side roads here (in Stoke) where it had previously thawed. Notice that BBC on line have lessened the amount of heavy snow for here but prolonged the light snow tomorrow. Bigger flakes now.

I'm loving the way the temperature has dropped so sharply in the past hour, from 2.7c, to 0.7c now.

With only ninety minutes or so of daylight left, we should soon be within touching distance of the magical freezing mark good.gif

I guess as always it'll be a case of nowcasting and hoping for the best. The scene outside now looks the same as at around 7am for snow cover, with it looking like no thaw had occurred at all.

Why didn't you check the radar or weather app ? There was never supposed to be any snow in Northampton at this time.

i did and from the look of it at lunchtime it seemed to be heading in the direction of northampton

Finally, it's looking heavier. Flakes are a little bigger and lots of them. And a LOT of wind, if this settles tonight, I'd imagine there'll be a fair few drifts around.

Sleet still here, virtually all of last night's snow washed away bar roofs. No chance of anything sticking, know or after dark.

Absolutely ZERO precipitation of any kind in Enderby, Leicestershire! Dry as a bone on the road outside.
