snowing on and off in Chesterfield. A layer of 2 inches this morning now down to 1 inch and holding as the slow temperature rise has steadied now 33.7 with dew point 30.2.The area of precipitation over Nottingham and Leicester has this areas name on it, and its expanding. I am expecting some heavier snow within the hour

At work seeing proper flakes blowing around in Brum city centre! Started off sleety but now going well and quite impressive!

Sleet has turned into moderate snow here now, just off to buy wellies for the little one as he put his in the bin and I only fished one out! Didn't think it would mater too much as was not expecting this! :-)

You can see why people get frustrated with the weather, 15 mins ago we had snow with big flakes now it appears to be raining although still confident we will get a decent covering tonight

I wouldn't mind too much but this happens pretty much every event. It's an actual fact. I'd be willing to bet a lot of money and go back through historic radar pictures of snow events, this happens so much.
