That Snow Cup 4th Rnd Draw again, 3rd Rnd replays, Friendlies and not forgetting the 1st Rnd of the

East Sussex Tupperware Preserving Cup (No amounts carried forward, please!). Oooh, its a busy fixture list. Thank god, theres no World Cup/European Ch'ship coming up, the way the weathers shaping up, this will still be going in May!unknw.gif

Try and take a measurement, when your snowfall eases off, I'd hate for you to wait for tonight and lose any depth you might have, so rulers at the ready, please. Its certainly been more extensive south of the river, than most of us were expecting, I think its fair to say!

I'll have a look at snowfall forecasts and try and work out an optimum time for measuring, might have to bring half/time forward, or not have half/time at all and make final measurement earlier than I first thought. I certainly chose the wrong day to give up cigarettes, alcohol, chewing gum, solvents, conceptual music, bubblewrap, etc. doh.gif

John Kettley currently on Radio 5 talking about how 1962 winter got him into the weather - he said he likes extremes. Apparently today is World Meterology Day!

Had icy rain here all night- slowly changing so that rather than the occasional bit of rain has ice in it, to all rain bits have ice particles. The snow maniac in me loves this slow transition as now we have a sleety mix with some wet snow flakes.

Temp 1.7ºC

Dew point 0.8ºC

Rain total so far today 15.24mm - garden flooded.

Morning, everyone - what a winter wonderland this morning. Currently have about two inches here and it's still snowing - they're only tiny flakes of snow but quite heavy!

Snap!

I will get a piccie uploaded in a bit.

do you believe that?? to be honest they have been pretty clueless so far for our corner on this event.. got rest of country almost bang on!! but us.. looks like to me they are just looking out of the window then update their forecasts,

Doesn't really matter if I believe it or not, I was just reporting what they said!smile.png

you using raintoday radar?? if so use this one http://www.meteorada...z=7&x=521&y=486

rain today one is a bit goofed up..

The thing is, that radar is high resolution, it picks out the most minutest of precipitation (drizzle) and it makes it look like there's a lot on the radar. Rain today however picks out the heavier stuff which to be honest, that's all everyones interested in....well me anyway rofl.gif

Oh dear, breaking up and moving away from the region very soon, leaving a rather non-eventful day in all reality, but none the less, I was surprised to see any snow, so that in itself was a bonus. NEXT!
